Vehicles with a head-up display (HUD) require a windscreen with a specific wedge profile built into the glass to prevent double imaging of the projected display. A standard flat-profile windscreen installed on a HUD-equipped vehicle produces a ghost or double image of the HUD projection that is impossible to read comfortably. CORRECT CURE TIME BEFORE RETURN
Polyurethane windscreen adhesive has a minimum safe drive-away time — the period that must pass after fitting before the adhesive has developed sufficient strength for the windscreen to provide its designed structural contribution. This time varies by product and temperature — in Abu Dhabi's heat, cure rates are faster than in cold climates, but the specified minimum must still be observed. We never return a vehicle before the adhesive cure time requirement is met. Driving away too early after a windscreen replacement is a safety risk we will not take with your vehicle.
