Kerbed Alloys? Cracked Rim? Corroded or Faded Wheels? Our Alloy Wheel Specialists in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi Repair and Restore Every Wheel to Better Than New — Without Expensive Replacement

Alloy wheels are one of the most vulnerable parts of any car in Abu Dhabi’s road environment. Tight underground car parks, raised kerb edges at petrol stations, speed bumps on residential streets, and the fine sand that collects in every road gutter combine to produce kerb damage, scuffs, and corrosion on even the most carefully driven vehicle’s wheels. A single contact with a kerb can leave marks that are visible every time you look at your car — and on larger, more expensive alloy wheels, the visual impact of that damage is significant.
At Muller Motors in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, we carry out professional alloy wheel repair and full wheel refurbishment covering every type of damage and every type of wheel finish. From a quick kerb scuff repair on a single wheel to a complete set of four-wheel refurbishments with colour change, we restore wheels to a standard that meets or exceeds the original factory appearance — at a cost that makes replacement unnecessary in the vast majority of cases. We work on all alloy wheel types including painted alloys, powder-coated wheels, diamond-turned alloys, polished alloys, and chrome-effect finishes.

KERB DAMAGE REPAIR

Kerbing a wheel produces a range of damage from light surface scuffs to deeper gouges that cut through the paint or lacquer layer into the alloy metal beneath. We repair all levels of kerb damage — cleaning out the damaged area, filling with precision alloy filler or welding for deeper damage, sanding through progressive grits to a smooth finish that matches the surrounding wheel profile, then priming and repainting in the correct colour and finish. The repaired area is invisible after a properly executed wheel repair.

FULL WHEEL REFURBISHMENT

Full wheel refurbishment takes a wheel back to bare metal or bare alloy through chemical stripping or sandblasting, addresses all surface imperfections through filler and block sanding, applies the correct primer system, and refinishes the wheel in your chosen colour and finish — matched to the original or changed to a new colour. A fully refurbished wheel looks better than new and is finished to a standard that lasts significantly longer than a rushed surface repair.

DIAMOND CUTTING RESTORATION

Diamond-turned alloy wheels — where a computer-controlled lathe removes a thin layer of metal to reveal a bright, mirror-like machined surface beneath — require a specific restoration process that standard painting cannot replicate. We carry out diamond cutting restoration on diamond-turned alloys, restoring the bright machined face and then applying the correct protective lacquer over the machined surface. The result is a wheel that matches the original factory diamond cut appearance precisely.

POWDER COATING

Powder coating produces the most durable alloy wheel finish available — significantly more resistant to chipping, scratching, and corrosion than conventional spray paint. We carry out powder coating on all alloy wheels in a wide range of standard and custom colours, applying the powder electrostatically to the fully stripped and prepared wheel surface and heat-curing it into a continuous, hard coating. Powder-coated wheels withstand Abu Dhabi's brake dust, heat cycling, and road conditions exceptionally well.

CRACK & STRUCTURAL DAMAGE REPAIR

A cracked alloy wheel is a safety issue as well as an aesthetic one. Cracks in the wheel structure — from pothole impacts, kerb strikes at speed, or road debris — compromise the structural integrity of the wheel and can lead to sudden deflation or wheel failure under load. We carry out professional alloy wheel crack repair using TIG welding to fuse the crack, followed by full refurbishment of the repaired area. Every cracked wheel repair is inspected and tested before it is returned to service.

COLOUR CHANGE & CUSTOM FINISHES

A wheel colour change is one of the fastest and most effective ways to transform the appearance of your vehicle. We carry out full wheel colour changes to any standard or custom colour — gloss black, satin black, matt black, gunmetal, bronze, gold, body-colour matching, and any custom mix. Every colour change starts with a full strip of the existing finish — not a colour change applied over the top of existing paint, which peels within months.

This Is What We Do — And We Do It Right

Alloy Wheel Repair & Refurbishment in Abu Dhabi — Our Process and Why Preparation Makes the Difference

The quality difference in alloy wheel repair comes down to one thing — preparation. A wheel that has been properly stripped, properly filled, and properly primed before paint is applied will carry a finish that lasts for years and withstands everything Abu Dhabi’s roads subject it to. A wheel that has been given a quick sand, a coat of primer, and a spray of colour will look acceptable for a few months and then peel, chip, and bubble — often from the point of original damage where preparation was inadequate.
At Muller Motors, we do not cut preparation short on any wheel. Every wheel we refurbish goes through a complete process. For full refurbishments, we strip the entire existing finish from the wheel — either through chemical immersion stripping or sandblasting depending on the wheel type and condition. We strip completely, not selectively. Painting over existing layers is a shortcut that costs the customer far more in the long term than a proper job costs upfront.
After stripping, we address every surface imperfection. Kerb damage areas are filled with quality alloy filler, shaped carefully to restore the original profile of the rim edge, and block sanded through progressive grits until the repaired area is perfectly smooth and flush with the surrounding surface. For cracked wheels, the crack is prepared through grinding, TIG welded to fuse the fracture completely, dressed back flush with the surrounding surface, and inspected for full penetration of the weld before any finishing work begins.
Primer is applied in the correct system for alloy substrates — etch primer over bare alloy followed by high-build primer over the full wheel surface. All primer stages are carried out in our workshop spray environment to avoid contamination. After priming, the wheel is sanded to a final finish ready for colour application.
Colour is applied in our spray environment in multiple thin coats, building even coverage without runs and ensuring the colour depth and finish is consistent across all wheel surfaces — including the barrel and inner rim faces where visible. Clear coat or lacquer is applied on top of the colour, in the correct sheen level for the chosen finish — high gloss, satin, or matt — and allowed to cure fully before any further handling.

After every wheel refurbishment, the tyre is refitted using professional tyre fitting equipment, and the wheel is balanced on our balancing machine before being returned to the vehicle. We never refit unbalanced wheels. Wheel balancing after any refurbishment is not optional — it is part of completing the job correctly.
